The Exeter String Quartet was founded in 1983 as a result of a chance meeting at a Chamber Music Workshop in Ashland, Oregon. We are all residents of
Oakland and are involved in a variety of professions: Chris was a middle manager for the Social Securty Administration, and is the Quartet's business manager. Rich is President of Images
Sales, Inc., marketing agents for Polaroid Corporation. Dorothy is a first grade teacher at Corpus Christie School in Piedmont and teaches string methods at Holy Names College, as well as
privately. Dan is a health professional at Kaiser Hospital in Oakland.
The Quartet Performs frequently for weddings, parties and churches and gives occasional concerts and benefits. We come together with a mutual love for music and the joy of having
others share that love. We are happy to suggest music for your special occasion.
